Marcus Feldt founded Tigbuy Gear Sheets in Portland, Oregon in 2019 after seven years buying and repairing bags for a small outdoor consignment shop. He trained as a pattern cutter and spent four years in a cut-and-sew workshop, which is where he learned to distrust a fabric description until it has been weighed. He sets the desk's five-point scale, signs off every published sheet, and runs the twelve-month retest calendar.

How I test
Marcus opens every parcel on camera and records the order date, arrival date and quoted weight before anything else happens. He cuts a 100-square-centimetre swatch from each fabric, weighs it, measures coating thickness at five points with a dial caliper, and counts stitches per inch on the four seams that carry load. He will not sign a sheet that lacks a comparison table.
