Fix the Comparison Conditions First
To compare shipping costs across different agents, the first step is not to look directly at the USD total shown on a platform, but to fix the item, parcel, and query time. This article uses the United States as the destination and sets a unified example: item value of 1000 CNY, parcel weight of 2000 grams, dimensions 35 × 25 × 15 cm, item category Clothes / Common Goods, and payment currency USD.
The 1000 CNY is only a standardized value for horizontal calculation, not a verified selling price for a specific knitwear piece. Existing product information is insufficient to prove the actual price, stock availability, or purchasability of a particular Loro Piana fall/winter knitwear item, so no specific product recommendation can be made based on it.

How to Calculate Exchange Rates and Payment Fees Uniformly
First calculate the USD amount before payment fees:
CNY item value ÷ Agent's displayed CNY to USD conversion rate = Base USD amount
Then, based on the payment fee rate recorded on the platform's information page, calculate:
Base USD amount × (1 + payment fee rate) = Assumed payment amount
When the rate is negative, treat it as a discount; when positive, treat it as an additional fee. The table below only compares the three agents whose information has been collected, and does not treat figures from different dates as permanent rates at the same point in time.
| Agent | Info Page Data Date | Exchange Rate or Conversion | Fee Basis | 1000 CNY Base Amount | Payment Amount Based on That Rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LitBuy | 2026-09-19 | 5.69 | Agent Markup: 0% | 1000 ÷ 5.69 = 175.75 USD | 175.75 USD |
| USFans | 2026-08 | 6.01 | Payment Fees: +5.49% | 1000 ÷ 6.01 = 166.39 USD | 166.39 × 1.0549 = 175.52 USD |
| Superbuy | 2026-09 | 6.19 | Wise Bank Transfer: -3.13% | 1000 ÷ 6.19 = 161.55 USD | 161.55 × 0.9687 = 156.49 USD |
| Superbuy | 2026-09 | 6.19 | Credit Card, Apple Pay: +3.94% | 1000 ÷ 6.19 = 161.55 USD | 161.55 × 1.0394 = 167.92 USD |

These results only illustrate conversion differences under a unified item value and cannot directly represent the final payment amount. Actual payments may also be affected by the platform's current exchange rate, payment channel, service fees, recharge method, or order page rules. In particular, the two Superbuy rows are not quotes from two platforms, but different fee bases for two payment methods under the same conversion rate.
Why You Can't Just Look at Exchange Rate Highs and Lows
In this example, Superbuy's conversion rate is 6.19, higher than LitBuy's 5.69 and USFans' 6.01. Looking only at the division result, Superbuy's base USD amount is the lowest. But when payment methods are added, the result changes: Wise bank transfer calculated at -3.13% from the info page gives 156.49 USD, while credit card or Apple Pay calculated at +3.94% gives 167.92 USD.
Therefore, when comparing, at least record these three items:
- The exchange rate or conversion rate used, and the info page date.
- Whether the fee is an add-on, a discount, or only applies to specific payment channels.
- Whether the calculation base is the item value, or the order amount including service fees, recharge fees, or other items.
If a platform does not publicly state which payment channel the fee applies to, or only shows an unexplained USD amount, it should not be directly ranked against other platforms' full payment costs.
Shipping Cost Verification Under Unified Parcel Conditions
The verified official shipping estimates come from the LitBuy calculator, and these results cannot be extended to shipping quotes for USFans or Superbuy. Query conditions are kept consistent: destination United States, weight 2000 grams, parcel dimensions 35 × 25 × 15 cm, item category Clothes / Common Goods, query time 2026-10-28 08:33:18 (recorded time), currency USD.
LitBuy info shows that billing is based on actual item weight; in the example, the item weight is 2000 grams, volumetric weight is 1640 grams, so the recorded chargeable weight is 2000 grams. All routes show a 40% discount, Tax free, and provide estimated transit times.
| Agent | Official Route | Estimated Price at Query | Original Price | Discount | Chargeable Weight | Tax Basis | Estimated Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LitBuy | ZF-GOFO-US-1 | 47.44 USD | 72.41 USD | 40% | 2000 g actual weight | Tax free | 8–16 business days |
| LitBuy | FF-GOFO-US-2 | 48.44 USD | 74.76 USD | 40% | 2000 g actual weight | Tax free | 9–18 business days |
| LitBuy | FF-GOFO-US-3 | 49.65 USD | 76.78 USD | 40% | 2000 g actual weight | Tax free | 8–16 business days |

The above prices are real-time estimates under unified example conditions, not final weighed billing. Route availability, whether discounts still exist, whether taxes are handled under the same basis, and the actual weight after warehouse rechecking all need to be reconfirmed before submitting the parcel.
How to Put Item Cost, Payment Cost, and Shipping Together
If only doing a demonstrative breakdown, record in the following order:
- First divide the same CNY item value by each agent's conversion rate to get the base USD amount.
- Then add the fee or discount applicable to that payment channel to the base amount.
- Record international shipping separately; do not mix shipping into exchange rate or payment fee calculations.
- For each shipping route, save destination, parcel weight, dimensions, item category, chargeable weight, tax basis, discount, and query time.
- Finally, check whether service fees, storage fees, insurance, customs duties, or other order page items are included.
For example, LitBuy's first route can be recorded as:
Item payment portion: 175.75 USD;
Example shipping: 47.44 USD;
Example subtotal of the two added together: 223.19 USD.
This 223.19 USD is not the final order total, because existing evidence does not provide the item's actual selling price, platform service fees, insurance, customs duties, or final weighed billing. It can only serve as a demonstrative subtotal under a fixed 1000 CNY item value and that example route.
Stop Comparison Conditions Before Ordering
When the following situations occur, stop ranking different agents instead of filling gaps with estimated numbers:
- A platform's exchange rate has no query date, or the applicable payment channel cannot be confirmed.
- The fee is only written on the payment page, but it is not confirmed whether it is calculated based on item value, recharge amount, or order total.
- Different platforms use different destinations, weights, dimensions, item categories, or chargeable weights.
- The shipping calculator only gives route names without prices, transit times, discounts, or tax basis.
- The routes, discounts, or stock status displayed on the page have changed.
- The item itself has no valid link, price, or purchasable status, so it cannot be confirmed that the comparison object still exists.
As of this record, only LitBuy's unified parcel shipping estimate has been verified, and a final landed cost ranking among the three agents cannot be derived from it. A safer approach is to save order screenshots or calculator results from the same time point, then separately add official shipping data from other platforms before comparing.
